Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about what the tools do, what happens to your text, and what this site deliberately does not offer.

Questions and answers

What is TextToolz?

A collection of 105 free browser tools for text: case and format conversion, encoding and decoding, URL handling, number utilities and Unicode text styling. Open a tool, paste your text, get the result.

Are the tools really free?

Yes, all of them, with no tier and no limit. There is no premium plan and nothing behind a paywall.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no account system at all: no sign-up, no login, no saved favourites. Nothing on the site is gated.

What happens to the text I paste in?

It stays in your browser. The tools transform text in JavaScript on your own machine; the text is not uploaded to a server, not stored and not logged.

Do you collect personal information?

Only what you send deliberately through the contact form (your name, email and message). There are no accounts to collect anything else. Analytics and advertising scripts on the site are covered in the privacy policy.

Is there a limit on how much text I can paste?

There is no server-side limit, because there is no server-side processing. The practical limit is your own browser and device: very large inputs (hundreds of thousands of characters) may be slow on a phone.

Can I use the tools offline?

Once a tool page has loaded, the conversion itself runs locally and keeps working without a connection. Loading the page in the first place needs one, and there is no installable offline version.

Is there an API?

No. Because the tools run in the browser rather than on a server, there is no endpoint to expose. The API page explains what to do instead.

How do I use a tool?

Open the tool, paste or type your text, press the button. Results appear immediately and can be copied with the copy button. Nothing needs to be installed.

How do I report a bug or suggest a tool?

Use the contact form. Naming the tool and describing what you expected is the most useful thing you can send: it is what decides what gets fixed or built next.

Still have a question?

If it is not answered here, send it: the contact form is read and answered.
