TextToolz respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement.

Filing a DMCA Notice

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide our designated copyright agent with the following information:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity

Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification. The counter-notification must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your consent to local federal court jurisdiction or, if outside the United States, to the jurisdiction of the courts in your location
  5. Your name, address, and telephone number

Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA, we maintain a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also terminate accounts of users who repeatedly submit false or frivolous DMCA notices.

False Claims

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages. Please ensure that your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Our Response Process

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:

  1. Review the notice for completeness and validity
  2. Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
  3. Notify the user who posted the material
  4. Provide the user with information about filing a counter-notification

If a valid counter-notification is received, we may restore the material unless we receive notice that a court action has been filed to restrain the user from engaging in infringing activity.
