About Corrupted Text Generator
The Corrupted Text Generator lets you transform clean, readable text into chaotic, glitched, or scrambled versions using advanced Unicode manipulation. It's perfect for creating distorted, "broken" text used in memes, bios, games, or glitchcore aesthetics. You can also explore creative typography styles with the Bubble Text Generator or Aesthetic Fonts Generator.
This tool overlays diacritic marks and special characters over your input to create messed-up looking text. You can choose from multiple styles of corruption and control how intense or subtle the transformation is using a slider.
Unlike one-style glitch tools, this one lets you choose from four unique corruption styles for different effects:
- Glitch – Overlapping and elevated diacritic chaos
- Scramble – Shuffles and rearranges letters in the text
- Distort – Applies light flickers and displacement to the structure
- Random – Mix of multiple glitch types for unpredictable output
You also get optional controls to:
- Preserve spaces – Keeps your formatting intact
- Preserve case – Maintains upper/lowercase letters
- Live preview – See results instantly while typing

Common Uses for Corrupted Text
- Creating glitchy usernames or bios for social media
- Generating creepy or unreadable messages for games
- Designing horror-themed artwork or fan pages
- Building aesthetic distortion for vaporwave, FNF, or glitchcore edits
- Pranking friends with messed-up text messages
The three distortion styles differ in what they do to the word. The zalgo generator stacks combining marks until the line overflows, this page scrambles and substitutes inside the word itself, and the weird text generator swaps each letter for a lookalike and leaves it readable. Corruption is a substitution like any other in the site's text style generators, which is why the output survives copy and paste.
Real Example Outputs
Input: This is broken text
Glitch: T̛͗͢h̷͚͌i͂̕͡s̷̪̈́ ̨͔͛í̴͓s̷̥̑ ̢̲͐b̖͒͘ŕ͕̚o̘̐̕k̴̼͠e͉̕͞n͔͂͢ ̷̨̕t̡̛̿ę̞͝x̶̠́t̷͍͋
Scramble: oTi is sbeonr txet
Distort: T̍̓h̡́i̷͞s̛͘ į͠s̨ b̨͢r̷̡o͠͠k̕͢e̴̷ń̨ t̷̷e̵͘x͜t̴
Random: ̞̔T̬́h̯̓͐i̠̓s̴͘ ̛̲̦ì̳s̢̀ b̸͚r̥̕o̵͚k͕͘e̛̦n̻͠ ̚͜t̸̥e̶̢x̪̕t̛̀
Each glitch effect is Unicode-safe and copy-paste friendly across apps, including Discord, Instagram, and TikTok. Corrupted characters are taller than the line they sit on, so a block of them will not align with surrounding text. Where that matters, the center text tool pads each line with spaces instead of using an alignment setting, so the centring survives being pasted into a field that has no formatting controls at all.
